Handmade Bomber Jackets

I made these things!
It started with an absolute need to have a jacket for our wedding (swipe through for those picture). Below freezing temperatures and a mountain locations meant faux fur and layers!

Was I finishing it hours before our ceremony? Yes, yes I was.

This was the first pattern I ever actually followed (surprise surprise), so I was pretty pleased with the results.

I made the black floral one next from vintage fabric I thrifted.

After that, I finished this a quilted one. It’s created from some of favorite old skirts and pants. Waste not, want not!

The lace top is cut from a thrifted curtain.

I didn’t make the jeans, but give me a little time. I’ll get there.

Creating anything with my hands feels good, but sewing hits a special place in my soul. I would love to just quilt blankets and jackets all day long.
